Database Subscriptions are also available to keep you up to date on future Speed Traps, Red Light Cameras and Speed Cameras.

Important:
Location Database Updates and Detector Software Updates for the Beltronics GX 65 Radar Detector requires a Windows based computer. (Operating on Windows XP, Vista, or Windows 7 only.)
Detector must be powered (if not using a laptop with the car turned on, the Beltronics GX 65 requires a Radar Detector 12 Volt Adapter - not included with detector).
The Beltronics GX 65 requires an USB A to Mini USB cable - not included with detector - before you can install location database updates and detector software updates.

I travel a lot and it seems more and more communities are putting in lots of camera speed traps and there is nothing worse than coming home from a trip to a ticket in your mail box. These are hard to see on your own and once you do its too late.
I read reviews and carefully chose a radar detector that could not only keep me out of the line of speed traps but also those camera traps as well on the road. The GX65 was the one I ended up buying since this unit is not only good but it is smart as well.
This radar detector comes pre-loaded with a database of cameras in the US and you can update it regularly so that you can avoid these tickets.
But my favorite part of the GX65 is the owners manual! I am not the most adept at electronics and this manual spells it out plainly unlike some others that I have tried to use in the past.

The new Pro Series GX65 offers a great price for an extremely dependable detector using GPS radar detection technology. It has the usual features of the similar RX65 series products and adds new functions such as the Mark Location feature which helps me identify preprogrammed speed traps, allowing me to avoid passing by these hot spots in the future. The voice prompts are very clear, and the automute keeps the annoying beeps to a minimal level. The new web ready feature also makes it easy for me to cross-check safety camera locations across the US and Canada through the pre-uploaded database. Plus, I can easily update this by simply downloading more information from the Beltronics website. That is really something that I don't see from other products. Such features make the Pro Series GX65 the ideal detector for adventurous drivers like me who occasionally go for cross-country drives. I simply can't drive without it!!

If you are looking for a windshield mounted radar detector that will actually work and not just sit on your dash and annoy you with false alarms the GX65 is a great unit for the money. Not only can it do a great job of detecting traditional radar guns but it can also do a excellent job on the photo radar that are coming up so quickly on many of the roads I travel.
The subscription to the updates for the GX65 is a real bargain and well worth the money to make sure this great radar detector keeps you one step ahead of the police whether you are on your morning commute or on a cross country road trip.
I plan on adding the ZR4 so I can interface the two together for the ultimate in detection, but even if you do not plan on going that far with it you will still be pleased.

The Beltronics GX65 is the best radar detector that I have ever owned. I have had many over the years including the Valentine V1. Although this is a good detector, the GX65 gives me more warning on the signals that matter as well as not having to worry about listening to it go off for the wrong reason (You tell it what you want to not listen to). The other thing that is great about this detector is the pre-warning it gives when you are approaching a red-light camera. It tells you exactly where these are before it is too late.
Very well built, you can immediately tell you are not buying a product that skimps on material. The GX65 also comes with a very well written owners manual that is easy to understand.

I've driven with the GX65 for several months now and it is without a doubt my favorite dectector and I've owned many! The GPS feature allows me to lock out annoying false alerts, plus the built-in database is preloaded with all the red light and speed camera locations popping up everywhere. These annoying camera locations alert in plenty of time to check things out in advance. $29.95 extra for the 3 year update subscription, which I haven't purchased as yet. Once I've marked all the false alerts on my drive to work, the GX65 is quiet and alerts to just true police radar. I've never driven with such a quiet detector. The unit comes with a very nice case and "Smart" power cord that works like a miniture control panel right on the dash. Highly reccommended!

Amazing product!
The clarity of the warning voices can be heard above a radio or road noise. The advance warnings have already save me the purchase price in ticket fines. If located properly in the vehicle the warnings from behind you are just as accurate and necessary.
Just yesterday a local police car began following me with the radar detector warning me well in advance of their approach and I was able to review my speed because the detector announces it to me.
Great product, well worth the money.
