The cord that came with my Sti Driver was a little too short for my taste. I have a truck and the cigarette lighter is at the bottom of my dashboard, which is a little tall. To make matters worse. the windshield flares out from the dash in a way that I felt the coiled smart plug was pulled a little tight.

This straight version is longer and covers the distance between the two points with enough room to spare I can route it around my radio and get it over out of my way when driving.

If you need a longer cord or maybe dislike those coiled smart plugs that come with the unit in the first place than this replacement cord will take care of you. Plus it can act as a second cord if you have a second vehicle that you want to use the radar detector in.
